Partida Sweepstakes Winner Jeff Hayes
Tours Partida Distillery
From October 2007 to January 2008, Partida Tequila challenged all tequila lovers across the U.S. to 'Experience the True Spirit of Tequila' through a sweepstakes in partnership with Maxim.com. Entry was simple: answer questions about tequila on the Partida website for the chance to win a 4-day, 3-night trip for two to Guadalajara, Mexico and the Tequila Valley. Winner, Jeff Hayes of Carroboro, NC was chosen at random from thousands of entries to visit the Partida distillery in Guadalajara and to be immersed in everything tequila.
Production Manager José Valdez and the entire Partida de Mexico team were present to greet Hayes and his companion, Deborah Lomas, at the distillery. Hayes and Lomas were given a guided tour of the distillery where they learned the Partida Tequila process from cooking, milling (where they sampled freshly cooked agave), fermentation through distillation and bottling. After which they sampled Blanco, Reposado and Añejo accompanied with a light baguette lunch on the terrace of the Partida distillery with mariachi music playing in the background. Hayes and Lomas were presented with mementos of their Partida Mexico trip to remind them always of the "true Spirit of tequila."
"We had a great time in Guadalajara and at the distillery! JP, Jose, and everyone treated us like we were family, and gave us a much-needed re-education in tequila. Thanks again to them, and all of Tequila Partida for creating a wonderful product and making our trip a great one," said Jeff Hayes

Here's a recipe for a sweet summer treat that Denver Bartender Ambassador, Scott Agnew has been working on during the month of July.
The Bachelorette
1 oz. Partida Añejo
1 layer of Kahlua
1 layer of Bailey's Irish Cream
Mix in tall shot glass and top with whipped cream
Consume cocktails sans hands
Blackbird Restaurant, in Chicago, recently created the "Mas Amor" using Partida Reposado. The cocktail is currently being featured on the restaurant's drink menu.
Mas Amor
1.5 oz Partida Reposado
.75 oz Yellow Chartreuse
1.5o z watermelon puree
.5 oz lime juice
.5 oz simple syrup
In a mixing tin, bruise 2 leafy sprigs of cilantro, just enough to release the aroma.
Add all ingredients and a quarter turn of cracked black pepper.
Shake with ice.
Strain over fresh ice in a double Old-Fashioned glass.
Garnish with cilantro sprig and another small turn of cracked black pepper on top.
To prepare the puree, blend seedless watermelon, a few mint leaves and simple syrup to taste.

Downtown Orlando Bartender Joins Partida Ambassador Team
Ryan Casey recently joined Partida as the Bartender Ambassador for Orlando. Casey started his career in the beverage industry at age 22 bartending at Salsa, a tequila bar in Orlando. Staying within the same umbrella corporation, Casey worked at Timpano, an Orlando steak house. Feeling a bit entrepreneurial, he opened the Beacon, a lounge located in the downtown Orlando area.
Currently, Casey works at the Matador in downtown Orlando, where he promotes Partida Tequila and the Partida Margarita. "I am thrilled to recommend Partida to my customers because it is such an exceptional product that merits all the attention and prizes," said Casey.

Lead Partida Bartender Ambassador, Jacques Bezuidenhout, led a multi-course tequila dinner at Conduit, a restaurant located in the San Francisco Bay Area that is revolutionizing the way cocktail pairing dinners are conducted. Part of the "San Francisco Cocktail Week" each course of the meal was matched with Partida-based cocktails.

Miami Hotspot Prefers Partida Tequila
The Miami Herald recently featured hotspot, The Shore Club, where the Skybar Passion Fruit Margarita uses Partida Blanco. Other ingredients of the Passion Fruit Margarita include spring water, juice of half a passion fruit and Partida 100% organic agave nectar.

Tres Hombres Tequila Club Spotlights Partida Tequila
Partida hosted a tequila dinner at Tres Hombres Long Bar and Grill in Petaluma, CA, on Wednesday, June 11th. The pairing dinner for 30 guests, organized by Marc Milton, consisted of a 4-course meal created by Chef Gray Rollin with Partida based cocktails. Valerie Shilgalis, Partida Northern California and Oregon Regional Manager and Sofia Partida were on hand to lead guests through a guided tasting on the Partida marques served neat.
Also in attendance were Tres Hombres Tequila Club members, who had the opportunity to add Partida to their tequila list, including Partida Elegante. "Tres Hombres is the only bar in Petaluma that offers such a variety of tequila. They are big supporters of Partida," said Shilgalis.
Sterling's Partida Tequila Dinner at the Silver Legacy Casino
One lucky couple had the opportunity to win a tequila dinner hosted by Partida at a high-end steakhouse located in Reno's Silver Legacy Casino. Prior to the event, posters were placed throughout the casino while televised promotional spots were aired to advertise the Partida Tequila dinner at Sterling's.
Partida and Jonathan Pogash Join Forces for Elements of Mixology: the Lab
On Saturday, June 21st, those looking to expand their cocktail-making skills enjoyed a two-hour, hands-on workshop, "Elements of Mixology," sponsored by Partida Tequila and led by mixologist Jonathan Pogash at New York City's Astor Center. The introduction to the "art of mixing drinks" was an interactive seminar where proper procedure and tips for creating original cocktails were revealed. After a brief history on some of the world's most famous cocktails, proper bar technique and current cocktail trends, participants had the opportunity to create their own cocktails using a variety of spirits, fruit, mixers, herbs and spices. "There was a good mix of consumers and bar professionals, which made for a very creative group," said Pogash.
The next Elements of Mixology class will be held on Wednesday, August 27th from 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm.
Partida Pairs with 15 Shades of Pink to Raise Money For Breast Cancer Awareness
On Thursday, June 26th, Partida and Partida's Denver Bartender Ambassador, Scott Agnew sponsored the 15 Shades of Pink Breast Cancer fundraiser in honor of the Susan G. Komen Foundation. The event was held at 15C, a new Partida account located in Colorado Springs that currently stocks all four Partida tequilas.
"We combined Partida with fresh watermelon to create 'Coolers' and donated all the proceeds to the foundation. It was a fantastic opportunity to introduce Partida to new consumers while supporting a worthy cause," said Agnew.
Partida Sponsored Denver Industry Pool Party with Fun and Food
On Sunday, June 29th, Partida hosted a brand loyalty appreciation party for servers and bartenders in several accounts throughout the Denver area. Representatives from 14 restaurants in Denver came to a pool party to enjoy some summer fun in the form of a BBQ and Partida cocktails. According to Scott Agnew "I mixed up some watermelon coolers based on Jacques' recipe as well as Partida Margaritas for more than 40 people. There was plenty of fun, food and Partida Margaritas to go around!"
Partida at the Sanctuary resort on Camelback Mountain
Lunch and Learn, the first in a series of luncheons held at the Sanctuary Resort on Camelback Mountain on June 5th featured Partida Tequila and Chef Andrea Blanco. The event, intended to teach participants about Mexican culture consisted of contemporary Mexican cuisine paired with a variety of Partida Tequila based cocktails including the Partida Margarita. "MaryLynne Christman, the director of catering at the Sanctuary on Camelback Mountain has made the Partida Margarita a permanent feature at all their events, including this one," said Bill Hall."
What's Happening Denver: Partida Tequila
On Sunday, July 6th, Partida was part of the Cherry Creeks Arts Festival, an annual event that draws artists from around the country as well as attracting 350,000 attendees to Denver. "We conducted consumer tastings that generated a lot of enthusiasm and brand awareness," said Scott Agnew.

Partida Increases Consumer Base at Phoenix BevMo Opening
On Friday, June 27th, Sofia Partida was on hand to greet customers and introduce them to Partida and "The True Spirit of Tequila" at the grand opening of Beverage and More (BevMo) in Phoenix.

"We've had an exciting month, highlighted by a tasting session with Inspirit Brands and Tomas Estes, acclaimed ambassador of tequila to the European Union, that took place in Leeds and of course this year's Bar Show, in which Partida had a great presence.
We've also had some great consumer coverage this month, with hits in Repetoire, a Scottish lifestyle magazine and Live, a supplement in the mail on Sunday," said Amy Hutchings of Inspirit Brands.
Regional Tastings
Tomas Estes, acclaimed ambassador of tequila to the European Union and Inspirit Brands paired up for a tasting session in Leeds, England, a city known for its bar culture.
Inspirit Brands hosted the tasting session at 'Boutique' in Leeds for 14 local bar representatives on the 20th of June. Tomas Estes presented a talk on the history of tequila and its production to a captive audience, followed by a sampling of the full Partida range. Attendees were from top UK bars including Oracle bar, Trio bar, Skippy's bar, Jakes bar & grill, Sandinista, Smokestack and Boutique. The session was a lively, interactive experience that certainly re-affirmed the credibility of the brand within the on-premise sector.
Bar Show '08
Partida was showcased in an elegant stand at the 'Inspirit village' that certainly echoed the brand's premium position at the London Bar in June. The stand, staffed by Inspirit representatives alongside World Wide Cocktail Club founders Henry Besant and Dre Masso, sampled Partida Blanco, Reposado and Añejo. The 'Theme' theatre, attached to the Inspirit stand, hosted a lively talk from Jacques Bezuidenhout, Henry Besant and Julio Bermejo on the heritage of tequila, its role within the U.K. market and of course the story behind Partida. Samples of the Partida range were distributed throughout the talk. Visitors commented that it was one of the most inviting stands at the show.

Mexico's Top Japanese Restaurant Features Partida
"Suntory Restaurant, Guadalajara's finest Japanese kitchen, featured a premium tequila tasting for their exclusive clientele in Guadalajara with Partida Tequila Blanco, Reposado, and Añejo.
