Mexican Snow
|
|
|
Mexican Snow by Christian Woodside Gonazalez, Love Hate Bar Lounge, Miami.
The Mexican Snow was created as a delicious and simple winter recipe that can be made easily at home with a very unique approach for the Partida Añejo. The balance of the sweetness with various ingredients really complements each other, and the culinary touch of the sugar-coated strawberry adds an interesting visual element to the recipe.
Ingredients:
1 1/2 oz of Partida Añejo
3/4 oz of Partida Agave Nectar
3 medium sized strawberries
Teaspoon of half and half
Powdered Sugar
|
Muddle together in a mixing glass two medium sized strawberries with 3/4 oz of Partida Agave Nectar. Add ice. Add a teaspoon of half and half along with 1 1/2 oz Partida Añejo. Shake with passion for ten seconds. Strain into a rocks glass and garnish with a whole strawberry sprinkled with powdered sugar to give a "snowy" look.

Flor De Noche
 |
Flor De Noche by Brandon Clements,
Spruce Restaurant, San Francisco.
Brandon created the Flor De Noche to highlight both the versatility and unique qualities of tequila. Perhaps more than any other spirit, tequila is similar to wine in that elevation, soil and climate greatly contribute to the contents of the bottle. The addition of Barbera and Hibiscus tea further the floral and tannic qualities, and make this cocktail a great pairing with food, particularly meat and game.
Ingredients:
1 oz Partida Añejo
1/2 oz Niner Barbera (or other medium to full bodied red wine)
1/2 oz Hibiscus Tea
2/3oz Honey Water
1/4 oz Lemon
1 Dash Lemon Bitters
Combine all ingredients in a mixing glass. Fill with ice and shake vigorously. Strain into a bucket glass full of ice. Garnish with Duke's lemon twist, one purple violet and two daisies. |
