Partida Proudly Sponsors BAR, Spirits Industry Education Group
Partida Tequila's introduction two years ago coincided with the launch of BAR (Beverage Alcohol Resource), an educational program (similar to the Master Sommelier course) created by five of the top cocktails and spirits experts in the country: Doug Frost,
Dale DeGroff, Steven Olson, F. Paul Pacult and Dave Wondrich. BAR's mission is to "propagate the healthy and responsible use of beverage alcohol products through innovative and comprehensive training programs and seminars." Recognizing right away the prestige and influence that BAR was destined to have on the bartender community, Partida Tequila signed on as a sponsor from Year One.
Now in its 2nd year, BAR has become the buzz of the on-premise world. Professional bartenders eager to expand their knowledge and improve their craft are filling up the BAR seminars to capacity.
Partida Tequila is now working with BAR to create a one-day tequila immersion program during which every aspect of tequila and tequila mixology will be studied. Details on this program, scheduled for the fall, will be
forthcoming from Partida Tequila and our distributors.
Partida Margarita

Mike Jaeger, President of Partida Tequila provides an update on the Partida Margarita launch.
"We are in the process of launching our agave nectar in 18 markets across the country. I have been in the beverage alcohol business for nearly 20 years and
have never experienced this type of excitement for a new product concept. Our distributors, partners and high profile restaurants are very excited to offer their consumers our Partida Margarita. I think well- known spirit critic Anthony Dias Blue said it best ...The Agave Nectar Margarita has everything going for it: it has fewer calories and less alcohol than the traditional Margarita, a great tequila base, and it's all natural."

Prior to joining Partida Tequila, Chavez spent 10 years in a variety of different positions within the food and wine industry. "Coming from a Mexican background it is extremely important to me

Getting Off to a Serendipitous Start in
the State of Washington
|
|
March 1st saw the arrival of Partida Tequila to Washington State. Valerie Villalta, Northern California Regional Manager, Jacques Bezuidenhout, Partida Mixologist, Gary Shansby, Founder and Chairman, Mike Jaeger, President and Sofia Partida were all on hand 'stirring' things up at the Partida kick-off.
Bezuidenhout recounts a successful sale that immediately followed the launch of Partida
in Washington. "It is quite simple really: the account was a hotel where we were staying. Gary introduced us to the bar manager, Thomas Dodson, we spoke about tequila and cocktails, and we all clicked." According to Bezuidenhout, "Valerie and I returned the following night and spent about an hour with Thomas having him mix us a Partida Margarita and various cocktails using Partida Tequila. The end result, he loved it!"
"You guys have a great team and an incredible product," comments Thomas Dodson, Bar Manager, BOKA Kitchen and Bar in Seattle. "The first night that I put Partida on the shelf I sold almost the entire bottle. Thank you for introducing me to Partida Tequila!"
From the looks of it, Partida is creating quite an impression on Seattle. "We love these sales stories, keep them coming," says Mr. Shansby.

Guess who's coming to dinner, Partida
Sportsman Consumer Dinner a Success

Partida Tequila hosted a two-hour consumer dinner on Monday, March 26th at Sportsman Fine Wine & Spirits in Scottsdale, AZ. Sofia Partida conducted a formal tasting for a room of 35 people, demonstrating the fine distinction between Partida Tequila and other tequilas on the
market.
"The audience was really in tune with everything being said," says Sofia Partida. "They were eager to know how to pair our different tequilas with various authentic Mexican dishes."
Partida at the Royal Palms

From main course to dessert, Partida Tequila was the perfect complement to the menu at the Royal Palms Resort and Spa. Twenty key bartenders from this prestigious resort in Scottsdale were invited to attend an evening with Partida.
The evening commenced with an introduction to the three tequilas followed by the first
course of Snapper paired with Partida Blanco. Partida Reposado complemented a choice of entrées. Dessert served with fruit was paired with Partida Anejo.
"Pairing Partida Tequila and Partida cocktails in dinners, cocktail hours and tequila tastings is a great way to have fun and educate audiences about tequila's taste characteristics and versatility," says Sofia Partida. |

100% organic agave nectar perfect complement to Partida Tequila
Agave nectar is a natural sweetener extracted from the heart of the blue agave plant. Because agave nectar has a low glycemic index, it is absorbed slowly into the body which prevents spikes in blood sugar levels. Agave nectar is sweeter than sugar so as much as 2/3 less is needed for sweetening, meaning fewer calories. It is also less viscous than honey, making it more versatile. The sweet, natural flavor of agave nectar is great for baking, sweetening beverages and a multitude of uses in addition to making the Partida Margarita.

| The Art of the Margarita

"There are many tall tales as to how the world's most consumed cocktail came about. Many people believe that it evolved from the Sidecar. Just substitute Tequila for Cognac, get rid of the sugar rim and you have the beginnings of a good fiesta!
The traditional Margarita recipe calls for 1 1/2oz Tequila, 3/4oz Cointreau and 1oz of fresh lime juice. Perfectly acceptable, but I prefer to drink my Margarita pure! We present to you, the Partida Margarita. This Margarita has been adapted from the world famous Tommy's Mexican Restaurant recipe that Julio Bermejo and his family have made famous.
The difference between the two recipes is we leave out the secondary liquor (usually Cointreau, Triple Sec or Grand Marnier) as these flavors can interfere with the exceptional taste of Partida Tequila and the clean, crisp taste of fresh-squeezed lime juice.
Instead
we add our own Partida Agave Nectar which brings the Partida Tequila (works great with Blanco, Reposado or Añejo) and the lime together and rounds out the combination with a lovely rich sweetness that complements the acidity in the lime.
All in all, we have a Margarita that is fresh, organic and delicious with Partida Tequila coming through with a lovely finish. Two very different Margaritas. Try both and tell us which one you like best. I know which one I will be drinking!"
